Japanese researchers have developed a futuristic goggle called the "AI (Artificial Intelligence) goggle" which can help you locate missing items in a room. A camera is attached on the goggle and it records everything you see. A computer monitor attached to the other side of the goggle shows the footage in real time. The monitor also displays text information of what the goggle has identified the objects to be. This is done by matching the object to its database stored in a computer connected to the goggle. The researchers said what makes this goggle extraordinary is the complicated computer algorithms they invented for it. This algorithms are a set of instructions which enable the goggle to recognize not only particular objects, but also faces, similar to devices used for digital cameras--and once the faces and objects are registered on the database, the recognition time becomes even faster. The intelligent goggle can also identify some objects it has never seen by comparing it to similar objects from its database. |
