{tab=Overview} The glorious high-definition (HD) chaos continues in Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter, the highly anticipated arcade action FPS sequel to the Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter. {tab=Video} {tab=Review} Serious Sam HD The Second Encounter is a pretty dang fun game. This is a old school first person shooter in the sense that the game focuses on gameplay opposed to story. The game earned the "HD" in its name, it is a fairly pretty game. The Audio is also decent with no noticeable flaws over TV Speakers.

This game is run and gun awesomeness. There are many different levels to choose from which are fun to play in. If this is your first serious sam game, well you have a bit of a learning curve. I couldn't find any instructions or controls. Just like the classics, you button mash until you find what does what.

The game is all about gameplay, which is awesome after figuring out the controls. The story is very hard to follow with zero cut scenes, and the only chance to read up is in the load screens. If you are looking for a epic story, avoid this game!

The graphics are defiantly at par with the "HD" Standards of the 360. When you slice something open, there is blood, and the insides are just red, nothing too gory (aside from the fact YOU FREAKING SLICED SOMETHING OPEN!). I'd put it just about par compared to other current titles.

The audio is as good as you expect from the current genre of titles. It is no cinematic masterpiece, but it also isn't 8 bit sounding. The Sound effects are good also, maybe a bit about par, but nothing special.

In conclusion, this game is really fun in the gameplay department, but has a learning curve. The graphics are just above par, and the sound is about the same. There is however basically no story.
