Back in the days there were many classic brick-and-ball type games, most noticeable were Pong, Arkanoid and Breakout. Bashi Blocks from Icon Games brings a refreshed look to the more than 2 decades old genre.

Usually, the visuals of this type of game are just your standard affair, not so with Bashi Blocks, as each level is nicely detailed with brash backgrounds and themes, there aren't just bricks that you'll be dealing with, there are enemies that will try to hinder your progress as best as possible. As you progress further, you will even encounter end-of-level bosses, they provide a real challenge as they can get pretty tricky and you gotta hit the right weak spots.

Along with the single playing campaign, there is also an editor in the title (a first for this genre), which you can plan and create your own levels for sharing with the rest of the world. Additionally, you can also download other player created levels and give them a bash or two.

Overall: What I like about the game was the fact that it's so simple to pick-up-and-play, yet addictively hard to put down. With 90 levels thrown in AND the custom level editor, this will keep you bashing blocks for a fair while to come!
